Question: Whaty is the point of having all these digital tv stations if they show the same programs?

Channel X 1, 2, 3, HD Minor changes to morning shows but the same show dfor the rest of the day. What is the point of the extra channels? When Australia goes fully ddigital, will we see different programs on each channel? Or do I have to scroll therough 4 channels of "same as " to get to the next channel number?

That is so true! i live in canada..and i have like 500 hundred channels and i hate most of them..funny how all my fav. programing is in basic cable channels.! honestly..i usually just avoid it..and log to the net. i usualy crash on torontops.com. just watch free movies and games there. digital tv has been around now for a while. get used to it. theres only a few shows they can air.

We have the same problem here in the states. Not only do we get 4 of each, then we get them in spanish too

My exact thoughts i laugh at the freeview ads in my mind its false advertising 15 extra channels haha

LOL, have no clue haven't got a digital tv or a set top box so I have no clue, I hate having to buy new technology when the old stuff is working fine, why stop using a perfectly good tv to buy a new one, its stupid and a waste of money, thank goodness the set top boxes have come down in price, its just another way to suck money out of people who can't afford it, after all if we wanted more channels theres always pay tv available, wish they would just leave well enough alone :)

Haha I was thinking the same thing! I dont know what the point is really but it would be better if they would give us better and different channels :)
