Freesat is rubbish. For £200 you can have a motorised dish that receives 23 satellites from all over Europe. 6,5000 channels and all free with no subscription. You can also use a usb stick as a pvr and record what you want. |

I switches from freesat to sky+ and sky is sooooo much better. Freesat has a couple of good channels and all the rest are quite bad. |

I went from Sky to BT Vision. Fantastic.. for less than £20 per month, I get extra channels, BBC and Channel four replay, music channels including a kareoke one (great for parties - you can even select the songs) and 30 free movies a month with seven changing each week. You can record two channels at the same time whilst watching a third. You can record whole series by a simple button press and you can pause live t.v. |

When I canceled my Sky sub about 5 years ago Sky One was running endless repeats of Stargate SG1, Star Trek and The Simpsons. When I saw it again a few weeks ago they were running repeats of Stargate SG1, Star Trek and The Simpsons. |

I grabbed a Humax HD Freesat box for £150 from Dixons and haven't looked back... The Freeview box is relegated to the office, and the Sky box is going on eBay! Only a couple of HD channels at the moment, but Wimbledon in HD for free was superb! Most channels are suppliedin Dolby Digital, and the upscaling of the picture makes most channels look WAY better than on any Sky box or Freeview box. I also love the fact it has HD Component out - meaning I only have to trail one cable from my AV amp to the telly - the main reason I opted for it. Many people would suggest waiting until the PVR versions come out later in the year, but I'm having fun playing with my 400+ TV and radio stations NOW! |
