Question: Can someone please explain free tv verse pay tv? i just moved here. my apartment gets maybe 6-8 channels.?

I am confused about the TV situation here. It appears I have some type of cable, but it is very limited compared to the US. Do I have some sort of free tv that comes in via cable? In the US, free tv is broadcast TV and requires an antenna. Sorry....I have moved to Sydney Australia.

Where are you asking about?? I am the wrong person to answer this since I am in the US but I did live in Melbourne a while ago. Cable there did not (then at least) contain a lot of channels - and those it did have were mostly sports. A lot of AFL.
