Question: What is the best satellite television service?

I have Dishnetwork. The thing that I love about it is the PVR feature. It's not the TiVo branded device, which I like because it's not linked to anything but the harddrive in the device. My brother has DirecTV. He loves the Football package because he likes an out of town team and they never get broadcast here. The other advantage is their PVR system is TiVo branded, which I believe you can program thru the internet (remotely). As for channel selection, they're pretty much equal. For picture quality, they're pretty much equal. [Note - we both have high def in addition to std.]

I know someone with the Dish network, and I thought I might get that. But the other night it was snowing, and they had to keep going out and cleaning the antenna off cause reception kept going out. The only other trouble they've had is when there is lots of lightning. Everytime it lightning the picture blanked for a bit. It's a fairly new one and they say it used to be worse. For the most part they like it. But I think I'll stick with cable.
