I for one haven't got nor would want to have the satellite option. I was house sitting recently and was more than disappointed that my husband couldn't watch the football, as the Fox Soccer Channel isn't included in the package, and I couldn't figure out how to navigate through the series of three remotes, (one was for the surround sound), that were needed to operate the entire setup. I can only speak from my experience, and I'm too thick to figure it all out, and find that my cable company is just fine by me.
