Question: Did the satellites tv provider made better satellites that don't go away in the rain,wind, or cloudy day?

Because i had service with dish network in year 2000 and it always keep going away. is it still the same?

It depends upon a number of factors, including signal strength, which is affected by the position of the dish. If you have a good angle and nothing blocking the signal (like tall buildings, mountains or trees), you're generally okay. I've had both Dish and DirecTV and had no major complaints. We sometimes had problems during bad storms, but we also tended to lose cable during similar weather back when we had cable.

If the dish in installed correctly problems are very uncommon. The dish is required to be mounted in a stud if on the wall and a rafter if on the roof. Dish Network's standards are much higher than they were 10 years ago! And yes, cable companies also have problems during really bad weather. How do you think they get all those channels to your house? Their satellite dishes are in one location, then distributed by cables to everybody.
